I sat outside, holding an umbrella... As you kissed my lips goodbye... I watched you walk away... As my heart ached for your touch once more... Just when you were out of my sight... I couldn't believe that this was true... I placed my finger upon my lips... Realizing that kiss you left... Still felt like it was there... Why did you have to go love... I need you here at home... I need your love and comfort... Knowing that your safe with me... Just thinking what is happening over there... Makes me worry so much more... Just thinking you might get shot... Brings my heart in so much sorrow... You promised me you will come back... But is it possible you won't... Cause you will be killed... One day, that you don't know... I love you too much... To think that stuff... I will keep my arms open... And my mind free... As well as my heart keeps beating... I will stay in this very spot... Till I see you walk up that road... And run up to you...
